what we do
heritage hives is a one of a kind business
built around honey: the flowers that make it possible, the bees that produce it and the wine made from it.

we specialize in the production of honey wine known as mead, cut flowers and herbs, raw honey, and various health & beauty products made from our local honey, beeswax, flowers and herbs.
we also have plans to eventually open cabins & host wedding events on the property overlooking our flower fields and native wildlife conservation area.
who we are
we are a family and veteran owned business based out of eastern south dakota. our family has a heart for fellowship, stewardship and artisanship, each of these being a pillar in our pursuit. we are excited to bring this unique venture to our home state.

we are passionate about nurturing those gifts which God has blessed us with, including the soil, land and ecosystem in which we make our living. as a result, we believe in utilizing no-till, organic, regenerative and permaculture agricultural practices to improve soil health and increase biodiversity both above and below ground.
